What's On in Winchester this March
Whilst January felt never-ending, March with all its spring-like style is here and there’s so much going on that we’re worried we might not actually have enough time to do, see, eat, and drink it all.
So here’s a round-up of what’s on and what’s to come for the month ahead.
Makers Market at The Nutshell
The Nutshell (old antiques market) are hosting their first ever Makers Market on the 13th March from 6-9pm and again on the 14th March 10am-5pm. Entry is free and you’ll get a chance to check out local independent designers and makers from around Winchester ??. Plus, if you’d like to exhibit then contact firstname.lastname@example.org to book your space.
Spring Equinox Gong Bath
Immerse yourself in the spring equinox in the best most harmonious way possible with Thrive Cafe & Wellbeing’s gong bath. Feel deep relaxation and nourishment as you meditate in a delightful sound bath (if you’re yet to try a sound bath, I can assure you it’s heavenly!). The perfect way to enter into a new season and let go of the stresses of everyday life. This event will be held on the 23rd March from 8-9.30pm and tickets are £13.16.
Room on the Broom
A great one for the kids, Room on the Broom is a musical adaptation of the classic picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Ideal for kids aged 3 and up (and their accompanying grown-ups too). It’s full of songs, laughs, and scary fun. Performances are on from Friday 8th March to Sunday 10th at the Theatre Royal. Not to be missed!
Declutter your home
Nothing says spring quite like a good old spring clean and Liz Gresson of All Organised for You is hosting a decluttering workshop to help you unclutter your home AND your life (I know I’m not alone in needing a home/life declutter!). Hosted at St Peter’s Church Hall on Wednesday 13th March, it’s a chance to learn some serious strategies to simplify your space.
It wouldn’t be a proper round up in Winchester if it didn’t feature some sort of gin/cocktail/beer festival of the month, right? So you’ll be pleased to know that the Winchester Beer & Cider Festival will be at The Guildhall from 22nd -23rd March. Full of live music, food, and of course plenty of beer and cider. Find out more here.
Plus, I’ll be attending the Living Well seminar at the University of Winchester next week and will be sharing all over on our Mind or Matter section.
