    Winchester Fashion Week - A celebration of Style!

    Now in its ninth year, Winchester Fashion Week has officially started! A chance to celebrate style in 2019 – and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s in store.

    The amazing duo, Sarah and Hannah from Winchester BID, have put together a jam-packed week full of shopping experiences, workshops, talks, events, and catwalk shows that bring together collaborations, local charities, independent businesses, and sustainability that celebrates style in all its various and unique ways across the city.

    We thought we’d pick out a few highlights from the week ahead …

    Tatt’s Up

    Head on over to The Nutshell for a display of Asgard’s favourite tattoos. Exhibiting a collection of images that showcase unique and beautiful tattoos and the words expressed by each individual as to why THIS is their chosen ink.

    Plus on Tuesday at 2pm Winchester Cosmetic tattooist, Rona, will be talking styles, techniques and benefits of semi-permanent makeup.

    The Future of the High Street

    5.30pm-7pm, Dr. Samantha Lynch, programme leader for Fashion Marketing at the University of Winchester Business School will be discussing actionable insights on how to be more effective in your marketing and future-proof your business.

    Arm Knitting with The Crafty Wintonian

    Fancy knitting yourself a blanket? The Crafty Wintonian will be at The Consortium on Jewry Street from 6-8pm on Wednesday guiding you through this super creative process. Tickets are £45 and will include 2kg of acryllic yarn so you can leave with your own comfy blanket!

    Big Small Business

    The oh-so-talented and co-founders of Big Small Business, Monica Welburn (of The Elgin Avenue) and Laura Turner (owner of Hero Stockbridge) will be sharing their journey as business owners and entrepreneurs at the Hotel du Vin on Thursday. From 7.30pm – 9.30pm, you can spend time listening to how these two talented ladies harness the power of social media within their businesses.

    Redesign with Burrells

    Fancy remodelling your vintage jewellery or family heirloom? Book a complimentary consultation with Sarel Du Plessis, Master Goldsmith at Burrels to redesign and recreate cherished pieces that will last a lifetime.

    One of the main focuses on Winchester Fashion Week is sustainability. With that in mind, look out for the Beauty Bank collection points across Winch where you can drop off your unwanted, unused beauty products and toiletries so they can be distributed to local charities.
